hi buddy!! i’m so excited to hear from you, but HUGE btw, i switched over to runsforcupcakes.tumblr.com :) sorry about the switch!
i have changed my username!! i’m now writing under runsforcupcakes. so if you read this, i’m sorry for the trouble, but please come visit me over there. i’m lonely. :)
<3 to all the lovely fitblrs of the world!
(this is a lot longer than I thought it would be, but I want to remember as much as I can. Excuse the excessive length! :)
The race was in San Diego, which is an hour and a half from my LA college, so Friday I got on a train and went to stay with my friend Katie. We had a delicious dinner,…
liia, YOU are the reason i started running, and really, started coming back from my dark dark dark time. congratulations. you are too awesome. :)

i forget how far i’ve come sometimes. i did this (BCBSR) just a measly nine months ago. and in about another 9-9.5 months, i’m going to try my hardest to run a half marathon. oof. i’m not convinced i can do it yet. but i’m going to try to convince myself that i can.
i just have to keep moving.
what i’m going to do this week for a project.
an inspiration board for my dorm room!!!
i would love quotes from my lovely fitblrs to put on it…famous or your personal mantras. give me some? :)
i can’t finish 30 day challenges. i also can’t make it past day…3. wow.
i admit defeat. back to normal.
anyway, this is my last week at home (incredibly long, i know) and i’m just trying to get everything in order to pack up for spring semester and also really do a good job dieting and exercising. yesterday morning i weighed in at 162 which made me very happy, but i’ll be happier when i break the rut of 160-166 that i’ve been fluctuating in since summer. i can’t wait to run in warmer weather, though. the snow and wind has been killer on my motivation.
so far today i’ve had one pieces of homemade bread, half with cream cheese and half with peanut butter (we were almost out of cream cheese), orange juice, and coffee. oh, and i just had a very miniature turkey hoagie. that was DELIGHTFUL.
i’m not sure what exercise i will do today. it’s family dinner night, so often most of the evening is occupied. perhaps today will be my rest day and the rest of my week will be spent gym-ing and running. (i also realized today i miss swimming laps. it really makes me much less stressed when i do it, but i fear/know that i am way out of swimming shape and that it is going to huuuurt when i get back in the water.)
i hope everyone’s week is off to a good start! :)
and i definitely fell behind on the 30 day challenge, but i will make that up tomorrow.
i had a great time during my statewide tour (aka visiting CA and NYC), but i’m happy to be home and to spend the week laundering, cleaning, running, packing, and preparing myself for my next (and healthier!!) semester at school. i can’t wait to run at school where there’s no snow on the ground (i trip when there ISN’T ice. WITH ice it’s terrible.).
today i ate pretty well and walked a lot but didn’t work out—had brunch in my friend’s dining hall, some eggy things and a pancake and coffee, an orange for a snack on the bus, and pasta with vegetables for dinner. not bad, eh?!
i miss you, tumblr. this week i will be all about you because i will be sitting at home, doing nothing. :)
