today i found this dress in Liia’s room today while we were packing up her clothes. i realized that the last time i wore this dress was for the homecoming dance of my senior year when i was 20 pounds heavier. heartbroken and without any space in any of the social crowd of my high school, i tried really hard to be the high schooler that i never was when i was with my boyfriend and the guy’s girl. after i saw these pictures, i never wore that dress again. i gave it to Liia who has a smaller waist and looked fine in the dress (although we were both heavier). today is the first time i’ve put it on in over a year, at around 163 pounds compared to the about 180 pounds i was then.

it’s exciting even after a terrrrrible week of wisdom teeth removal and pain where i could only eat mac and cheese and felt soooo big and convinced i was back to where i started. i am definitely not where i started, and that excites me enough to really be excited to move on to the second half of my journey. :)
